Hello, my name is Emma. This, really, is just a blog about my life.
I am 31, I live in the North of England, and I am currently on the sick due to having bipolar disorder and anxiety troubles. I am a Christian, and I write a blog about Christianity and mental health called Believer’s Brain which you are welcome to look at.
I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2003, in my final year of university, when I became quite unwell (mostly with depression). I have had several episodes since that one, always connected with work – which is why I am currently not working. I recently took a part-time job but had to leave because my mental state declined quite rapidly. I am currently trying to figure out why that was, and what I can do to prevent that happening in the future.
I live with my parents and my cat, Fluffy. She is the most lovely creature, big and, as the name suggests, fluffy, and I love her very much.
I generally spend my time reading, watching documentaries about the police, using the internet (I like Hidden Object games and reading the newspapers), going to church and I go to the pub a couple of times a week. My life is quite boring, so this blog might not be very interesting, but I would like to have somewhere less formal than Believer’s Brain to write about my day-to-day life.
